Pet Ultrasound
A non-invasive way to diagnose sick & injured pets.
We offer veterinary ultrasounds for pets. Ultrasound equipment allows us to perform non-invasive diagnostic exams without the use of anesthesia, viewing internal organs without surgery. Ultrasounds can be used abdominally to evaluate pets with symptoms of vomiting, diarrhea, or urination problems, or to evaluate pregnancies and litter size.
Ultrasounds are often recommended if x-rays, blood tests or exams indicate a problem such as pain or enlargement of the liver, spleen, intestines, or pancreas. It provides a real-time moving picture of internal organs and is helpful when determining the cause of an illness. It is also helpful for cardiac evaluation (echocardiogram) of your pet's heart and the structure of the heart valves. Muscle thickness and heart contractions can be measured. Ultrasound technology minimizes the need for exploratory surgery and is a safe and affordable diagnostic procedure that helps us diagnose and treat your pet's problem.
We also have portable Ultrasound units for on-farm calls, often used for reproductive analyses.
