PennHIP Evaluations
Ensure your dog's hips are healthy
Canine Hip Dysplasia (CHD) is a leading cause of hip arthritis that afflicts more than 50% of dogs within some breeds. It is one of the most commonly inherited orthopedic disease and leads to arthritis causing pain, stiffness and a diminished quality of life. CHD has no medical or surgical fix; however, early detection and life style changes can improve your dog's quality of life.
We now offer Penn Hip screening and we have a certified PennHip veterinarian who is capable of estimating the susceptibility of CHD in dogs as young as 16 weeks of age. If you have a breed that is susceptible to CHD, we recommend PennHip evaluation to help you and your dog have a longer, happier life together.
